Evaluation and Treatment Options

Dr. Cleveland offers many different chiropractic treatment options for your canine and equine. Chiropractic care is a drug-free approach to health care that can benefit your animal. Misalignments of the spinal column and extremity joints can result in nervous system or mechanical dysfunction that can manifest in a number of symptoms. Some of these symptoms include muscle spasms, hip dysplasia, acute or chronic lameness, and many more. Visit our page, theanimalcracker.com for a complete list of symptoms your animal could be suffering from. If you notice any of these symptoms in your horse or dog, then Dr. Cleveland can help!

Before treatment begins, a thorough evaluation of your animal must take place to decide if your horse or dog is a candidate for chiropractic care. Dr. Cleveland begins by getting a full background history of your animal’s health. This includes information from the owner, prior veterinary X-rays, laboratory analysis, and previous diagnoses and therapies. The next step is a thorough evaluation of your animal. This evaluation may include: posture, gait and apparent short leg analysis, vertebral and extremity motion palpation, bone and nerve system evaluation, and a review of any available X-rays. Once the evaluation is finished, Dr. Cleveland will combine the information from the examination and the case history to determine if treatment is needed, and the proper chiropractic treatment that your dog or horse may require.
